Scott Newman:

Founder Scott Newman is a dedicated Scout Leader for Troop 512 (a troop of 50+ Scouts and 20+ adult leaders) exceeding 9+ years. He, and his Eagle Scout son, Zach, are the creators of the GlobalTroopResource.com and EasyWilderness.com. Both soon to become a 501(c)3. Scott is an avid camper and is currently the District Chairperson for Camping and Outdoor Activities for the Conestoga District, Cradle of Liberty Council. An avid camper since age 13, he hiked portions of Appalachian Trail in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, and the Blue Ridge Mountains Virginia. He has also traversed the Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon, slept under the stars by the Colorado River, and camped on several mountain tops. An active traveler in his youth, he spent 5 weeks camping across the continental US, visiting nearly 20 States. While an avid outdoorsman, Mr. Newman is no stranger to technology. For the Scouts he teaches Photography, Moviemaking, Digital Technology, Citizenship in the Nation, Communications, Law, and Riflery. He has a Masters Degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus plus a certificate in Distance Learning. He also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology plus a certificate in Environmental Science from Dickinson College. Info@EasyWilderness.com

Zach Newman:

Communications Manager Zach Newman is an Eagle Scout from Troop 512 who remains involved with camping and outdoorsmanship. He is one of the creators of GlobalTroopResource.com as well as EasyWIlderness.com. During his time in Scouts, he camped many places including: Valley Forge National Historical Park in Pennsylvania, Lums Pond State Park in Delaware, Ressica Falls Scout Reservation, Hart Scout Reservation and many others. He has hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail in NY and Maine, and a variety of trails throughout the Northeast, such as those in Valley Forge National Historical Park, Acadia National Park, Rose Tree Park, Smedely Park, and many others. An avid history fan, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in History at Ursinus College. Info@EasyWilderness.com
